Why not change a few routines with your kid tweenies and have them stop in at the house for a refreshing drink at Halloween time?

Making changes for the better requires some quick thinking when you are involved in neighbourhood friendship circles formed with young pre-teens. Want to meet your kids' Halloween pals? Try inviting them in for a Halloween drink while they are taking a break from their usual search for treats. It is fun to have some of those more popular soda pops with the fancy labels and offer one to each tweeny at the door.

Refreshments – Another Form of Candy

Fruit, water and soft drinks give the kids a fun time to meet one another and refresh themselves as well. How often have you got the kids out the door with their super cool Halloween costume without really having had a chance to see any of their friends and company? There is no doubt about it those years are special and well remembered, and you will be too if you have some really nice cool drinks to offer your kids at the door. They are always in a rush and always have to go, but with a careful plan you too can meet some of their neighbourhood friends.

Halloween Night Needs Planning

Really, only a few simple steps are needed to plan this sort of Halloween gathering for kids, and a trip to the local store is all that is required to check out the new designer drinks. Most likely, these new designer soda pops and juice drinks are located somewhere from your usual shopping pattern.

  1. You can find designer drinks at the front of the store or in some location you usually miss on your regular routes.
  2. Selecting 8 to 10 different drinks in a variety of colors and flavours works great. There is no need to just stand in a circle with nothing to say at the door. At Halloween the kids' conversation can focus on the designer labels themselves.
  3. Other important points are selecting a range of drinks with various levels of sugar and nutritional values so those Halloween kids have their thirst quenched quickly.
  4. Staying within your budget for Halloween is possible if you select a few different drinks and buy just for a few kids as an alternative to the usual treats on hand.
  5. Make room in your fridge for some of the new designer drinks and keep them nice cool before the evening gets started.
  6. Place the drinks on a nicely decorated tray, with a modern design and a small pumpkin to focus on.
  7. Invite your child to bring the Halloween kids back to your house for a refreshment.
  8. Mention to either him or her that you have some of the new designer soda pops, water and juices available to offer their Halloween friends.
  9. When the Halloween kids arrive keep things casual and let the friendship circle form naturally.
  10. Finally, let them select their own refreshment with a few candy treats.
  11. Thank everyone for taking time to dress in their Halloween costume and dropping by.

Changing routines are never that easy, but with a little planning you may be able to capture a special moment. Budgets are tight, but a small group of Halloween kids gathered for a fleeting second is worth it and all it takes is a few special soda pops or fruit drinks.
