Traditionally, a bottle of wine, potted Poinsettia, or box of candy are customary hostess gifts. But why stick with tradition?

Need some ideas for host/hostess gifts this holiday season? If you've been invited to dinner or a party, here are some fun and festive suggestions for your hosts.

  • Guest Book -- If it's a big party, an anniversary, or a special celebration, a guest book is the perfect addition. Take the book around and have guests sign it too!
  • Decorative Candles and Accessories -- A big, beautiful pillar candle, a candle holder, and a snuffer go well together and would be welcomed by any host.
  • Cookie Cutters -- If your hostess loves to bake, a small assortment of fun cookie cutters in unusual or seasonal shapes would make a great gift.
  • Wine Bottle Tags -- Wine bottle tags attach to the stems of wine glasses, and come in a set of different colours or designs. This way, guests will always know which wine glass is theirs.
  • Hand Lotion/Guest Soap -- Packaged along with a single, pretty guest towel, these make thoughtful gifts.
  • Fun or Fancy Glasses, Bowls, or Serving Trays -- Almost every host can use more serving ware! Pick colours and designs that will blend well with other pieces, such as neutrals and subtle patterns.
